UK ENIC 2024 Annual Conference held in London on November 26^th and 27^th, 2024 was attended by three staff members of NIC-Japan.

UK ENIC, the UK National Information Centre for recognizing and evaluating international qualifications and skills, offers its members qualification evaluation services and access to an educational information database from over 200 countries worldwide. Based on the context of competition on student mobility, the theme for the 2024 conference was "Insights for Internationalisation," focusing on transforming education systems and qualification recognition systems in the UK and on the steps to cope with AI-driven technologies in the educational fields. More than 300 people attended in the event including university staff from the UK (especially from admission offices), representatives of examination administration organizations, and officials from Ecctis Limited (the private-sector company operating UK ENIC).

The conference featured two plenary sessions and 35 sessions. Plenary session facilitated information exchange and vigorous discussion on various subjects, such as the outlook of UK's qualification recognition including vocational education, recent trends in student mobility, and countermeasures against test cheatings using ChatGPT or AI-driven deep-fakes.
