Since its establishment in September 2019, the National Information Center for Academic Recognition Japan (NIC-Japan) has served as a NIC based on the Tokyo Convention and the Global Convention to provide information for the smooth recognition of higher education qualifications, to improve the international mobility of students and researchers.

As part of this effort, we have been holding the "NIC-Japan Seminar Series," in which experts from Japan and overseas discuss various topics related to the recognition of foreign qualifications, including examples of such qualifications and different education systems.

For the first seminar in 2025, we will hold a two-part program titled "FCE (Foreign Credential Evaluation) Special Training Program," with Part 1 conducted hybrid and Part 2 held in person as a workshop (approximately 40 participants).

In Japan, there is an urgent need to develop professionals capable of evaluating foreign academic credentials and qualifications for the acceptance of international students. NIC-Japan supports the development of such professionals through training programs.

Details are available in Japanese.
