NIC-Japan Seminar Series:
FCEForeign Credential EvaluationTraining Program

Wednesday, July 29, 2026 14:00-16:15

Venue: Online (Zoom Webinar)

Since its establishment in September 2019, the National Information Center for Academic Recognition Japan (NIC-Japan) has served as a NIC under the Tokyo Convention and the Global Convention to provide information for the smooth recognition of higher education qualifications, to improve the international mobility of students and researchers.

As part of this effort, we have been holding the "NIC-Japan Seminar Series," in which experts from Japan and overseas discuss various topics related to the recognition of foreign qualifications, including examples of such qualifications and different education systems.

In Japan, there is an urgent need to develop professionals capable of evaluating foreign academic credentials and qualifications in the context of increasing international student mobility.NIC-Japan supports the development of such professionals through training programs.

The "FCE Training Special Program" is scheduled for early September 2026 in Osaka and will be conducted as an in-person workshop. The workshop includes practical FCE-related exercises that build on the foundational knowledge covered in this online training. Those who wish to attend the workshop are encouraged to participate in this online training (including viewing the on-demand recording) in advance. Further details will be announced on this website at a later date.

Further details are available in Japanese.
