Aim of the Center
On September 1st, 2019, National Information Center for Academic Recognition Japan (NIC-Japan) is established by the National Institution for Academic Degrees and Quality Enhancement of Higher Education (NIAD-QE). It is Japan's official National Information Center (NIC) and provides information on education to facilitate recognition of higher education qualifications, in accordance with the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Regional Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education (known as the Tokyo Convention).
Mission
To ensure credibility of Japanese higher education qualifications and to facilitate recognition of qualifications among Japan, Asia-Pacific and the world.
What We Do
As the official National Information Center of Japan, we carry out the following tasks:
♦ Provide information on the Japanese higher education system
♦ Provide information on education systems in other countries, especially State Parties of the Tokyo Convention
♦ Build a global network for recognition of higher education qualifications
♦ Conduct relevant survey and research
